Overview
The Graphic and Instructional Designer will be part of our Digital Workplace Product team. The role requires strong design, video, and organizational skills. The individual will be expected to coordinate and manage multiple projects. This role will help ensure in awareness, engagement, and excitement about the technologies and resources available via unique, engaging, and fresh content. The more creative and out-of-the-box thinker you are, the more successful you will be in this role.
Responsibilities
• Support the Senior Vice President and six product managers with all creative requests (video, print, PowerPoint presentations, and digital).
• Possess strong knowledge of Instructional Design process, instructional theories including Microsoft Learning and microlearning.
• Expertise in delivering consistent and structured end user training training videos (e-learning modules, step-by-step instructional videos, micro videos, GIF’s, digital FAQs, etc.
• Maintain the look and feel for Northern Trust’s My Digital Workplace (MDW) SharePoint site.
• Ensure the delivered creative projects meet the time and NT quality standards.
• Prioritize content creation and layout based on product launch dates and availability.
• Refresh the MDW site placing focus on “product of the month” landing page.
• Think story-based when explaining the why factor (i.e., why partners should care about the digital changes coming, why upskilling/training is a must, products being implemented, etc.).
• Understand how to present and format copy to be mobile-friendly
• Create QR codes for digital and print signage
• Produce high-quality content visual aids such as social media posts, gifs, infographics, posters, and videos for Product Managers to promote their product offerings.
Requirements
• Adobe Premier expertise
• Microsoft 365 (e.g., SharePoint and PowerPoint – required)
• Minimum of 5 years of video production and graphic design (e.g., infographics)
• Understand how to use visuals to tell story
• Must be able to create instructional videos
• Must be able to self-direct
• Understand brand guidelines
• Meet deadlines
• Successful with multi-tasking
• Portfolio will be required BEFORE interview is scheduled
