Job Description: Paint Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Paint Technologist to spearhead our surface preparation and finishing processes. This role is pivotal in ensuring operational excellence, quality, and safety in all surface finishing activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and evaluate surface preparation and finishing processes, along with the required equipment.
• Establish and implement finishing processes for components with a focus on safety, efficiency, economy, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize surface finishing operations and ensure seamless integration across production stages.
• Oversee painting and other surface finishing processes while conducting relevant quality inspections.
• Ensure the integrity, durability, and consistency of surface finishes, meeting all technical and aesthetic specifications.
• Maintain high-quality standards by monitoring processes and identifying areas for continuous improvement.
• Provide technical expertise to design, procurement, and production teams at various stages of the production process.
• Address and resolve technical challenges related to surface finishing, ensuring smooth production operations.
• Evaluate paint products for suitability and performance under various conditions to meet end-use requirements.
• Act as the technical interface between suppliers, customers, manufacturers, and factory production managers.
• Identify, evaluate, and select appropriate products and materials from suppliers to meet project specifications.
• Ensure colour fastness, accurate colour reproduction, and the stability and durability of paints as per specifications.
• Conduct performance tests for paint products and ensure compliance with industry and organizational standards.
• Monitor and control the consumption of production materials.
• Identify opportunities to improve resource efficiency and reduce waste without compromising quality.

Qualifications and Skills

• More than 10 Years in Heavy Fabrication Painting
• Must have Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering or Painting Technology
• Expertise in surface finishing techniques and technologies.
• Strong understanding of paint chemistry, application methods, and performance testing.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions effectively.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across diverse teams and with external stakeholders.
