Roles & Responsibilities :

We are looking to hire a talented MS-SQL Server Database Administrator with 5 -8 years of experience managing a large enterprise SQL database system.

Ready to work from Bengaluru or Chennai

The candidate should possess the following :

- Be Proficient in MS SQL 2022, 2019, 2016 and 2012 versions.

- Be conversant with SQL Server database installation and Migration, upgrades, storage structures, backup, and recovery policies.

- Be fluent in User management, security and compliance pertaining to the database including encryption procedures.

- Able to minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses.

- Able to effectively Monitor database availability and performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required.

- Have knowledge of ITIL processes and service levels and worked in production support with hands on experience in ticketing tools.

- Fluent in Verbal and written communication

- Knowledge in Automating processes would be an advantage.

- Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users and DBA team.

- Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards.

- Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity.

- Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required.

- As needed, implement approved database configurations / corrections to mitigate points database performance / connectivity due to planned or unplanned incidents.

- Regularly maintain database security policies

- Automate database jobs and increase efficiency of the system.

- Identify and implement RCA for specific incidents.

- Perform performance analysis and tuning of database.

- Communicate effectively with internal and external audiences with varying levels of technical expertise.

- Provide and implement effective solutions while best using the MS SQL product for ideal database sizing, optimal database performance, enhanced and automated monitoring, migration and upgrade of databases, compliance to security (SOX) standards.

Profile :

- Proficient in MS SQL 2022, 2019, 2016 and 2012 versions

- Must have work experience on windows and Azure including storage and error management.

- Install, patch and maintain all MS SQL software.

- Perform all migrations of MS SQL efficiently.

- Implement MS SQL Replication Techniques effectively.

- Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data.

- Must have migrated and upgraded MS SQL databases, finetuned and sized MS SQL environments, suggested and implemented best practices of MS SQL

- Good to have exposure to different backup tools.

- Tune all MS SQL Components for best performance.

- Adherence to Change management process for any configuration as per organizational policies.

- Good to have ORACLE DBMS / IBM DB2 DBMS skills / exposure.

- Good to have Azure MS SQL database management experience

- Good to have database automation experience.
