At Tarento, youll be part of a collaborative environment where ideas are valued, learning is continuous, and careers are built on passion and purpose.We are looking for Smart Engineer with strong experience with AI & ML technologyRoles & responsibilities : The AI Lead will be a hands-on technical leader responsible for guiding a team of engineers in the design, development, and delivery of specific, critical components (e.g., 20+ services like ASR, TTS, OCR, etc and the Products using them, covering 22+ Indian Official languages across hundreds of dialects). You will ensure technical excellence, code quality, and adherence to architectural guidelines within the AI domain, while actively contributing to code development and mentoring team members.- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of AI projects : from research and prototyping to deployment and monitoring.- Design and build scalable machine learning and deep learning models using modern frameworks.- Architect AI systems integrating cloud services, APIs, and MLOps practices.- Collaborate with data engineers, product managers, and domain experts to translate business needs into technical solutions.- Mentor and guide junior AI/ML engineers and researchers.- Ensure AI models are interpretable, ethical, and robust in production.- Conduct code reviews, performance optimizations, and contribute to a high-quality development culture.- Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI research, tools, and practices.Must Have : - 5+ years of experience in AI/ML development, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or AI team lead role.- Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with major AI/ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn).- Experience in building and deploying machine learning or deep learning models in production environments.- Proficient in designing end-to-end ML pipelines including data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, and monitoring.- Hands-on experience with REST APIs and integrating ML models into production-grade applications.- Solid understanding of AI system architecture, including data engineering, MLOps, and cloud deployment (AWS/GCP/Azure).- Exposure to Large Language Models (LLMs), NLP techniques, or Computer Vision pipelines.- Working knowledge of MLOps tools such as MLflow, Kubeflow, or SageMaker for model lifecycle management.- Strong coding, debugging, and optimization skills along with a solid grasp of software design principles and system architecture.- Excellent communication and mentoring skills, with a proven ability to lead technical teams and collaborate cross-functionally.Good to Have : - Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines for ML workloads.- Familiarity with ethical AI practices, including model fairness, explainability, and data privacy.- Knowledge of time-series analysis or reinforcement learning techniques.- Prior experience working in agile development environments (Scrum, Kanban).- Contributions to research publications, patents, or open-source AI/ML projects.- Exposure to prompt engineering or fine-tuning of foundation models (e.g., GPT, BERT, LLaMA).
