Position Overview:

We are looking for a talented and experienced Design Lead to join our creative team. As a Design Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the design direction of multiple projects within the agency, ensuring creative excellence, strategic alignment, and a high level of visual execution. You will work closely with the creative, marketing, and development teams to bring innovative ideas to life across various digital platforms, including websites, social media, digital ads, and email marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Design Strategy:
  • Take charge of the design vision and creative direction for all client projects, ensuring the final deliverables align with client objectives, brand guidelines, and digital marketing goals.
    • Creative Leadership:
    • Mentor and guide junior designers, providing constructive feedback, direction, and support to help them grow. Encourage a collaborative and positive environment for the design team.
      • Client Interaction & Collaboration:
      • Work closely with account managers, clients, and stakeholders to understand business needs, brand goals, and target audiences, translating these into engaging and effective designs.
        • Cross-functional Collaboration:

Partner with the marketing, content, and development teams to ensure designs are implemented effectively across digital marketing campaigns and platforms, maintaining consistency and quality throughout.Job Overview:

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and producing captivating motion graphics and video content that tell compelling brand stories across digital platforms. You will work closely with our design, strategy, and content teams to create motion visuals for everything from social media content to full-scale digital campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Motion Graphics Creation: Design, animate, and produce high-quality motion graphics, including video ads, explainer videos, social media posts, website animations, and more.
  • Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with the creative, content, and digital marketing teams to understand campaign objectives, brand guidelines, and deliverables.
  • Video Production & Editing: Edit raw video content, incorporating dynamic animations, transitions, and effects to create compelling stories and engaging user experiences.
  • Conceptualization & Storyboarding: Take concepts from idea to execution, including brainstorming, sketching, and presenting initial concepts to the team.
  • Platform-Specific Content Creation: Develop motion designs optimized for various digital platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, , and websites while ensuring alignment with platform-specific trends and best practices.
  • Stay Ahead of Trends: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in motion design, animation, and video production, bringing fresh and innovative ideas to each project.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all visuals meet Team Pumpkin's high standards for quality, consistency, and branding, while delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Versioning and Customization: Create different versions of content based on requirements for various campaigns, regions, or audience segments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven Experience: 2-4 years of experience in motion graphics design, animation, or video editing, ideally in a digital marketing or advertising agency setting.
  • Expert in Motion Design Tools: Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, and other relevant animation tools. Knowledge of Cinema 4D or similar 3D tools is a plus.
  • Strong Video Editing Skills: Hands-on experience with video editing, color grading, and sound design to complement motion graphics.
  • Creative & Conceptual Thinking: Strong creative ability and a keen eye for design, composition, and visual storytelling.
  • Understanding of Digital Marketing: Experience creating motion graphics for digital marketing campaigns, social media, and websites with a deep understanding of the digital ecosystem.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail in the execution of motion design and animation, ensuring flawless final deliverables.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team, present ideas effectively, and adapt feedback in real time.
  • Time Management: Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Design Execution & Oversight:
  • Lead the design of high-quality digital assets, including websites, social media posts, banner ads, email campaigns, landing pages, and more, ensuring pixel-perfect execution and an exceptional user experience.
    • Stay Current on Design Trends:
    • Keep up with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies in digital marketing, ensuring that the agency remains innovative and competitive in the industry.
      • Quality Control:
      • Review and approve all designs before final delivery, ensuring high standards of quality, creativity, and alignment with client goals.
        • Problem Solving:
        • Troubleshoot design challenges, offering solutions that balance creativity with practical requirements, such as usability, performance, and timelines.
          • Time & Resource Management:
          • Efficiently manage multiple design projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and working with the project management team to ensure resources are allocated effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Experience:
    • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in digital design, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Experience in a digital marketing or agency environment is highly desirable.
      • Skills & Expertise:
      • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, After Effects, etc.)
      • Strong knowledge of web design principles, UI/UX, and responsive design.
      • Familiarity with design systems and collaboration tools (Figma, Sketch, InVision, etc.)
      • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
