With a vision to create an enlightened and equitable society, we are committed towards playing a larger role in India’s sustainable development by embedding wider economic, social and environmental objectives through its programmes.Employment Type: Fixed-Term ContractReporting Relationship: Lead Governance --->State Program HeadNo. of Positions: 2Location: Ranchi (for Jharkhand) / Bhubaneswar (for Odisha)Purpose of the Role: To strengthen state and community level public health governance systems pertaining to RMNCH+A, Nutrition and Infectious diseases, by activating forums, addressing systemic gaps, and ensuring evidence based best practices that align grassroot level needs with state government policies and interventions, including monitoring and evaluation of governance systems at all levels.Key Deliverables: The Lead (Governance) shall undertake activities represented by, but not limited to, the following to directly support the work of state program head.Identify and activate state-constituted public health forums at all levels in the state such as, VHSNC, JAS, Panchayat Samiti, Rogi Kalyan Samiti, District Health Societies and State Health Society etc.Participate in state-level reviews to present evidence based systemic governance gaps at all levels in public health to the Policy makers.Ensure that the community/state level governance meetings are conducted by appropriate government/community authorities at all levels at the required frequency, and that the minutes are compiled and shared with appropriate government authorities.Ensure that identified systemic gaps and felt needs of the community are addressed and fulfilled by appropriate level of decision makers.Ensure that a micro plan of such forums is available for the state and is monitored at regular frequency.Ensuring that project insights and actionable public health intelligence derived from the community are regularly placed at disposal of appropriate government authorities in the state to facilitate informed public health decisions by the state.Facilitate the implementation of government public health policies to ensure their benefits reach the grassroot level.Conduct regular district and block-level reviews of the program to identify gaps and challenges on the ground, ensuring the project‘s activities are aligned with the felt needs of the community.Collaborate with partners to align governance efforts and ensure a coordinated approach to addressing systemic challenges in the state.Facilitate clear and consistent communication between the internal project team, government officials at all levels and partners to foster strong working relationships in terms of governance issues.Guide District and Block Team on strengthening of state-constituted public health forums at village, panchayat, block and district level.Any other duty as assigned by State Program Head.Minimum Qualification: Masters in Public Health, Health Administration, Social Work, or a related field.
