Job Responsibilities

1. Middleware design for linux and QNX based platforms:

Shall be responsible for middleware architecture and its technical design. Work with stakeholders to extract the requirements, lead the design and implementation of middleware architecture for linux /qnx based platforms.

Identify and designing of all required services of the middleware including custom services that will be a part of vehicle OS.

Designing of APIs for the services and work closely with middleware engineer to get it implemented.

Responsible for creating software requirements document, software architecture document and software design documents for the middleware. Implementation of strategies of middleware updates and upgradation.

Design and check the feasibility of the architecture and is responsible for developing a scalable safe and secure middleware for linux /qnx platforms.

Work along with middleware developer and kernel engineers for integration and testing of middleware with Linux/QNX OS platforms.

Work along with the application engineers and middleware developers for designing and integration of new services and software modules.

Ensure timely resolution of the issues and bugs and timely deliverables for software defined vehicle projects.

2. Leadership Skills:

Shall be passionate, self-motivated and a fast learner.

Should demonstrate agility through systematic problem solving and timely completion of deliverables. Ability to collaborate with various teams.

Desired Candidates Profile

  • Candidate can be B.E Computer Science/ B.E Electronics graduate with 5-9 years of experience in linux middleware architecture designing and development. Should have experience in C, C++, python, knowledge and hands on experience with containerisation and virtualisation. Shall have experience with Adaptive AUTOSAR stack configuration and experience with compilers emulators and debuggers. Understanding and / or experience in kernel porting, kernel device drivers development, BSP modifications and kernel programming will be good to have.
  • Experience in designing middleware architecture for linux and qnx platforms.
  • Identification and designing of services and software modules required to be developed and integrated into the middleware.
  • Deep knowledge and experience of service-oriented architectures.
  • Knowledge of vehicle OS layer.
  • Design and implementation of the APIs for custom services for vehicle OS and integration of the services to the middleware.
  • Hands on experience with Adaptive AUTOSAR stack configuration and its tooling (ISOLAR preferred)
  • Should have good experience with Yocto and working with SoC boards. Should be able to add applications, services and middleware packages to Linux image.
  • Should be able to work with/create make files, yocto recipes and patches.
  • Should be an experienced C++ (+Python/Java/Rust) developer with c-make knowledge.
  • Should be able to design and execute tests/validation. Should have good debugging skills.
  • Should have OTA experience in Linux context. Should have linux to cloud integration knowledge and experience, for example through MQTT.
  • Experience with containerization technology, FOTA manager, health monitoring, logging, inter-processor communication in linux.
  • Should have knowledge of cybersecurity aspects and maintenance of product. Should be able to prepare bootable images and SD card and do testing.
  • Familiarity with embedded software, experience in BSP, device drivers and board bring-up will be added advantage.
  • Experience in TCP/IP, Ethernet, SOME/IP, Wi-Fi, CAN, IOT, DOIP
  • Knowledge of software defined vehicles, Domain knowledge of Automotive domain, Electric vehicle and its aggregates, Electronics with Embedded domain is good to have.
