Key Responsibilities:


• MVP Development: Lead the end-to-end creation of our product, from design to deployment.

• Tech Leadership: Establish our technology stack and best practices.

• Hands-On Coding: Develop scalable, maintainable code across the stack.

• Strategic Input: Translate product vision into technical requirements.

Technical Skills:


• Backend: Expert-level proficiency in Node.js, with extensive experience in backend frameworks such as Express or similar.

• Database: Proficiency with MongoDB, PostgreSQL or other relational databases. Understanding of database design principles and experience with ORMs.

• APIs / Integrations: Proven experience in designing and building RESTful APIs and Graphql.

• Architecture: Experience with designing scalable systems.

• DevOps: Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.

• Performance and Security: Implement robust security measures and optimise backend processes. 


Who we’re looking for:


• 3+ years of software engineering experience, with a passion for startups.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguous challenges.

• Excellent communicator, capable of explaining complex technical concepts.

• You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are driven to take ownership.

• Experience with Shopify or other ecommerce platforms will be a huge plus.
