When you join our team, you are familyJob DescriptionClarity Benefit Solutions is looking for a full-time Software Development Team Lead to lead our high-performing Information Technology team. This person will play a key role in Clarity’s business by overseeing a development team, focusing on existing systems and long-term growth. This person will serve as the technical leader, able to discuss data structures, new technologies, and methods of achieving system goals. This person will be crucial in facilitating collaboration among team members and providing mentoring. Reporting to the Director, Software Development, this person will be responsible for the day to-day operations of their team, be the first point of escalation and technical contact for the team.Job Responsibilities• Manages all activities of their software development team and sets goals for each team member to ensure timely project delivery.• Perform code reviews and write code if needed.• Collaborates with the Information Technology department and business management team to establish priorities for the team’s plan and manage team performance.• Provide guidance on project requirements, developer processes, and end-user documentation. • Supports an excellent customer experience by being proactive in assessing escalations and working with the team to respond appropriately.• Uses technical expertise to contribute towards building best-in-class products. Analyzes business needs and develops a mix of internal and external software systems that work well together.• Using Clarity platforms, writes, reviews, and revises product requirements and specifications. Analyzes software requirements, implements design plans, and reviews unit tests. Participates in other areas of the software development process.Required Skills• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Experience with .Net Framework, Web Applications, Windows Applications, and Web Services• Experience in developing and maintaining applications using C#.Net Core, ASP.Net MVC, and Entity Framework.• Experience in building responsive front-end using React.js, Angular.js, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.• Experience in creating and managing databases, stored procedures and complex queries with SQL Server.• Experience with Azure Cloud Infrastructure.• 8+ years of experience in designing and coding software in above technology stack.• 3+ years of managing a team within a development organization.• 3+ years of experience in Agile methodologies.Preferred Skills• Experience in Python, WordPress, PHP.• Experience in using Azure DevOps.• Experience working with Salesforce, or any other comparable ticketing system• Experience in insurance/consumer benefits/file processing (EDI).
