JD for Incident response:

  • IR Cybersecurity controls and their enforcement . Make recommendations and response teams to deploy necessary controls and address identified gaps tactical teams to collect, validate, analyze, diagnose, prioritize Cybersecurity Response based on incidents, Indicators of compromise, indicators of anomalous behavior and/or external threat indicators.
  • Analyze risk and prioritization of vulnerability remediation using MITRE ATT&CK within the greater context of assets and the control stack
  • Identify intrusion activity by leveraging alert data from multiple sensors and systems and determine priority for response.
  • Leverage threat intelligence while actively monitoring critical infrastructure components and provide/lead subject matter experts on appropriate actions to mitigate security threats.
  • efforts to analyze trends, identify anomalies, attack patterns and source of potentially malicious traffic on company network and infrastructure. Prepare plans to address gaps and collaborate with leadership to mitigate risks
  • Perform live incident response (reactive and proactive incident management) by identifying and remediating malicious applications and infrastructure components.
  • Provide escalated response and support to intrusion or security breach investigations. Coordinate with external entities to report, respond to risks as needed
  • Oversee in knowledge sharing with other Incident Response Analysts and Engineers and help writing technical articles for Internal Knowledge Bases.
  • Provide level 3 and 4 eyes on glass with analysis and correlation judgements in the SIEM. Work with incident response manager in creating playbooks to use in SIEM, passive network taps, EDR/XDR solutions.
  • technical response and containment during system outbreaks such as Malware/ransomware/virus.
  • technical aspects and perform roles of Incident Commander or Incident Handler during an Cyber Incident and respond to emergency calls during non-business hours, as needed.
