Role Description
This is a full-time, remote position for a Data Scientist. They will be responsible for the analysis, and interpretation of marketing and sales data to support incrementality testing. Daily tasks include running models to perform market selection & design incrementality tests, analyzing test result data using statistical models and methods, creating data visualizations and collaborating with other departments to support data-driven recommendations for clients. The Data Scientist will also be responsible for communicating findings and insights to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- As a data scientist, work with other team members to actively deliver Geo test outputs for clients
- Develop and implement statistical models to solve everyday market analytics challenges
- Perform exploratory data analysis using spreadsheets or Excel to understand data
- Interpret results from Geo tests and translate them into actionable recommendations
- Use results of a test or analysis to arrive at attributed conversions & multipliers
- Work with larger datasets, perform data manipulation & pre-processing
- Collaborate with strategist teams to translate business questions and objectives into analytical frameworks
- Work with stakeholders to gather the data required for building models
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support client requirements
Job Requirements
- Bachelors in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Engineering, Economics.
- 2+ years of experience in data science or advanced analytics.
- Advanced knowledge of statistical concepts like hypothesis testing , regression & time series analysis
- Proficiency in programming and query languages like Python, R and SQL.
- Understanding of marketing channels, metrics, and KPIs
- Proficiency in data manipulation and preprocessing
- Strong MS Excel, Google sheets skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to tell compelling stories with data
- Experience using PowerPoint or Google slides to present findings
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Incrementality testing
- Experience with Spike Attribution
- Experience with MMM
- Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and tactics
- Familiarity with marketing technology platforms and data sources
- Knowledge of Advanced attribution concepts & market analytics
