Role PurposeTo lead vendor quality management and receiving inspection for truck and bus manufacturing. Ensure robust supplier quality systems, monitor incoming material quality, drive supplier audits and development programs to achieve zero-defect supplies and reduce overall COPQ.Job Authority- Authority over all vendor quality audits, incoming inspection processes, and supplier rating systems. - Approval of inspection plans, sampling standards, and corrective actions for vendors. - Sign-off on incoming quality standards and material acceptance criteria.Key Responsibilities- Lead incoming material inspection and ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards. - Develop and implement vendor rating systems for continuous supplier performance monitoring. - Plan and conduct supplier audits to ensure adherence to quality systems and IMS requirements. - Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action for supplier-related defects. - Collaborate with Supply Chain and R&D to develop new suppliers and improve existing vendor capabilities. - Establish inspection standards, sampling plans, and acceptance criteria for all incoming materials. - Monitor and reduce incoming rejections, PPM levels, and supplier-related COPQ. - Coordinate with Production and Quality teams to resolve shopfloor issues related to vendor quality. - Prepare and present vendor quality MIS and dashboards to management. - Train and mentor vendor quality and inspection teams for capability enhancement.Technical Skills & Knowledge - Requirement- Strong knowledge of vendor quality systems, APQP, PPAP, and supplier audits. - Expertise in incoming inspection standards, sampling techniques, and material testing. - Familiarity with IMS, ISO/TS standards, and quality management systems. - Proficiency in RCA, 8D, SPC, FMEA, and problem-solving tools. - Experience in vendor development for automotive/EV sector. - Ability to lead supplier quality improvement initiatives and cross-functional teams.Candidates with Experience of 12+ yrs for Receiving Inspection, Vendor Quality Management, etc. may share their resume on sv21@svmanagement.com or may contact on 9893191553
