Job Title: QA / QE Automation Engineer

Location: Hyderabad, India

Experience: 4 to 10 years

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled QA / QE Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Hadoop ecosystem, data validation, and test automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and execute automated test solutions to ensure data quality, system reliability, and application performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement test automation frameworks for data pipelines, Hadoop applications, and enterprise systems.
  • Perform data validation and data quality testing across large datasets.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Selenium, Karate (API testing), and other tools.
  • Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and business analysts to define test strategy, test plans, and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure automation coverage for ETL, Big Data workflows, and API layers.
  • Troubleshoot issues, analyze root causes, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Continuously improve automation practices and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4–10 years of experience in QA / QE Automation.
  • Strong knowledge of Big Data / Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, Spark, Sqoop, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience in data testing, ETL validation, and query testing.
  • Proficiency with Selenium WebDriver for UI automation.
  • Experience in Karate / API automation (REST, SOAP services).
  • Strong understanding of SQL and data validation techniques.
  • Familiarity with Agile / DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Maven, etc.).
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills.
