Role- CONSULTANT

CRITICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Being involved in teaching postgraduate students (MD in General Medicine) through journal clubs, subject seminars and bedside clinics, also general discussion in the ward rounds regarding individual patients.
• In charge of the Cardiology OPD every day.
• Taking the ward rounds to see the indoor patient during the morning and evening schedule every day.
• Attending the emergency patients at night in the ICCU as well as IMCU on 3rd call basis.
• Supervising the non-invasive tests like Echo and Treadmill Test in the concerned labs.
• Performing invasive procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab like cardiac catheterization, coronary angiography, peripheral angiography, carotid and renal artery angiography, etc.
• Performing the interventional procedures like PTCA and PTCA with stenting and also all types of volvulus plastics, and temporary and permanent pacemaker implantations.
• Full responsibility of administration of the entire department. The Head is in charge of all staff and faculty members to be in the department.
• Conducting the departmental meetings regularly according to the instructions of ISO and QMR.
• Academic research work like scientific sessions, scientific papers, to deliver lectures on so many topics given by organizers of CME programmes or various conferences.
• Any other duties and responsibilities given by the Medical Superintendent from time to time.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• Qualification- MBBS, MD/DNB & DM/MCh in Cardiology
• As per NMC Guidelines
