About Position


As a GitHub administrator, your responsibilities may include managing user permissions, configuring repository settings, ensuring compliance with company policies and best practices, resolving access issues, providing technical support to users, and collaborating with other teams to optimize workflows and security measures within the GitHub environment. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in version control systems are often required for this role.

What You'll Do


  • We are looking for senior professionals who can manage a team and build a solution/tool to migrate our source code repos from GitLab to our GitHub enterprise on cloud. The migration tool should:
  • Migrate all the source code repositories along with branches, history, issues, pull requests and map users between GitLab and GHEC.
  • Take care of necessary upgrades and dependencies of infrastructure and application during migration.
  • The tool should be simple to use and provide clear documentation for our product teams to help them migrate.

Expertise You'll Bring


  • Collaborate with multiple teams located in India and US and gather requirements and implement the tool.
  • Work with product teams and guide them in their migration journey and resolve issues faced by them.
  • Prepare proper documentation/guides on how to use the product
