Job Summary: We are seeking a talented Automation Specialist with expertise in C# and Python to join our Architecture team. This role focuses on enhancing the efficiency of our design processes by developing custom tools and scripts that automate workflows and solve complex architectural challenges. The ideal candidate will have experience working with building modelling APIs, particularly the Revit API, and a strong understanding of architectural design processes and software. This position is perfect for a technically skilled individual with a passion for innovation in the design workflow.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain custom computational design tools and scripts specifically for architectural workflows using C# and Python.
  • Collaborate directly with architects and designers to understand project needs and identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
  • Utilize AEC modelling APIs, with a strong focus on the Revit API, to create tools that support the architectural design and documentation processes.
  • Test, debug, and refine tools to ensure high performance and reliability within the architectural context.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to the architecture team on using custom tools and scripts.
  • Stay informed about advancements in computational design, programming, and AEC modelling software relevant to architectural practice.
  • Document all code and workflows for future reference and seamless team integration.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with AEC modeling APIs (e.g., Revit API, pyRevit API, RhinoCommon, Grasshopper SDK).
  • Proficiency in C# and Python.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively within the architecture team.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in conveying technical information to non-technical team members.


Preferred Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience with the Revit API.
  • Familiarity with other AEC software tools (e.g., Dynamo, Rhino, Grasshopper, AutoCAD).
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., GitHub, Azure DevOps).
  • Experience with visual scripting tools (e.g., Grasshopper, Dynamo).
  • Experience in creating and managing software plugins or add-ins for AEC-specific applications.
  • Understanding of BIM (Building Information Modelling) principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of AI-driven tools as they relate to architectural design automation
