Job Description


Software Requirements:

Advanced experience in Python programming with a focus on OOP and Design Patterns

Proficiency in database connectivity and stream/batch processing

Familiarity with API development and Linux environment, including scripting

Experience with SDLC/DevOps tools such as Git/BitBucket, Jenkins, SonarQube, JIRA


Overall Responsibilities:

Implement python frameworks as defined by the team lead/architect

Ensure adherence to architectural and design standards within the system

Utilize technical and business domain knowledge to solve issues

Enforce industry-standard SDLC best practices for codebase management

Collaborate with software engineers, dev-ops, and production support staff to deliver robust solutions


Category-wise Technical Skills:

Python Development:

Strong grasp of Object-Oriented Programming and Design Patterns in Python

Experience with Test-Driven Development

Database & Processing:

Strong Knowledge in database connectors and stream/batch processing techniques

DevOps:

Proficiency in SDLC and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and secure coding

Linux Environment:

Comfortable with Linux OS and possess scripting skills

No Requirement:

No need for ML/AI/Web development experience for this role


Knowledge & Experience:

8+ years of engineering experience in building scalable and maintainable applications

7+ years of hands-on Python development experience in Linux/Windows

Expertise in industry best practices and standards

Experience with Market Risk is highly advantageous


Education:

Graduate in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) discipline will be plus.


Day-to-Day Activities:

Develop and maintain Python-based frameworks and applications

Engage in code reviews and maintenance to ensure high-quality standards

Work collaboratively within a global team to influence architectural decisions

Manage the codebase using industry-standard SDLC and DevOps practices

Provide solutions that are maintainable, scalable, and meet business needs


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field


Soft Skills:

Excellent command of oral and written English

Strong collaborative skills and ability to work effectively in a large global team

Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines

A problem-solver with a detail-oriented approach
