We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and results-driven Fundraising Manager to lead the growth of our NGO by driving strategic partnerships, innovative program development, and fundraising initiatives. This dual-focused role will oversee partnerships and revenue diversification strategies while spearheading donor relations, communications, and impact reporting efforts. The ideal candidate will be proactive, strategic, and passionate about social justice and gender equity, with a deep understanding of both business development and fundraising in the NGO sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Partnerships & Alliances:
- Identify and establish partnerships with government agencies, international organizations, private sector companies, research institutions, and multilateral organizations.
- Lead negotiations for joint projects, public-private partnerships, and MOUs to enhance Sky Social’s influence.
2. Program Innovation & Development:
- Identify emerging trends in gender mainstreaming and social justice, conceptualizing innovative programs to address these challenges.
- Collaborate with the program team to scale existing initiatives and identify new areas for expansion.
- Develop frameworks for new services or projects, ensuring feasibility, impact, and sustainability.
3. Revenue Diversification & Fundraising Strategy:
- Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies, including donor acquisition, retention, and expansion.
- Explore innovative revenue streams (social enterprises, impact investments, CSR partnerships) to support the NGO’s long-term sustainability.
- Lead grant proposals and fundraising campaigns, aligning them with Sky Social’s mission and programmatic goals.
4. Stakeholder Mapping & Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth stakeholder analysis in the gender and social justice sectors, identifying opportunities for collaboration and partnership.
- Stay informed about global and regional trends in social justice to inform strategic decisions and growth.
5. Proposal & Bid Management:
- Lead the identification and response to calls for proposals, tenders, and donor opportunities, collaborating with internal teams to develop competitive bids.
- Ensure proposals are aligned with donor requirements and Sky Social’s strategic goals.
6. Communication & Brand Building:
- Oversee the development of communication materials that showcase Sky Social’s impact, including newsletters, reports, and social media content.
- Manage brand-building efforts through media partnerships and community engagement, strengthening the NGO’s presence globally.
7. Impact Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with the program team to document results and impact, reporting to donors, partners, and the public.
- Organize and lead fundraising events, donor meetings, and other engagement activities to foster visibility and support.
8. Risk Assessment & Monitoring of Growth Initiatives:
- Conduct SWOT analysis to assess new opportunities, ensuring alignment with the NGO’s mission and capacity.
- Track the success of business development and fundraising efforts, reporting on KPIs related to growth, partnerships, and program expansion.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in business development, fundraising, and communications within the NGO or social sector.
- Strong track record of establishing strategic partnerships and successfully securing funds through diverse channels.
- Minimum 5 yrs of experience in fundraising, proposal writing and Corporate Social Responsibility in the development sector.
- Experience with program development, grant writing, and managing complex donor relationships.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to work remotely and manage multiple projects independently.
- Passion for gender mainstreaming, social justice, and advancing the NGO’s mission.
