Job Role: Senior Unreal Developer


Location: Thane (Work from the office)


Who are we looking for:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Unreal Engine Developer with a focus on extended reality (XR), including virtual reality (VR) and mixed reality (MR) development. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pushing the boundaries of XR Tech, immersive experiences, and a strong desire to mentor junior developers while guiding the architectural direction of our XR projects.


Top 3 Daily Tasks:

  • SDK and XR tools creation development for own headsets. Transition from being an XR developer to a developer who creates tools for other XR developers.
  • Develop and optimize XR gameplay mechanics, interactions, and systems to create immersive and engaging experiences.
  • Mentor junior developers, provide technical guidance, and conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality XR applications.


Work experience required: 5+ years of work experience.


Top 5 Skills you should possess:


  • Proficiency in Unreal Engine development with a focus on XR applications.
  • Strong command of C++ programming and object-oriented design principles.
  • Advanced understanding of lighting, textures, simulations, and logic building in Unreal Engine.
  • Experience optimizing XR applications for performance and latency.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities.


Qualifications:

  • Experience in the following: computer graphics, rendering, physics-based simulation, 3D character animation, advanced optimization techniques, motion capture, or games middleware/tooling
  • Experience shipping multiple products on large code bases that span a range of platforms and tools
  • Advanced C++ and OOPs based programming experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the field of Computer Science, Computational Physics, Computer Graphics, Animation, or a similar field
  • Experience with any combination of the following: 3D graphics (lighting, effects, shaders, or other low-level system), visual effects (VFX), 3D character animation, mobile CPU/GPU programming, gameplay tooling and pipeline development or gameplay development in AR/VR
  • Experience mentoring junior developers and guiding architectural design.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and optimize XR gameplay mechanics, interactions, and systems to provide immersive experiences.
  • Develop XR user interfaces (UI) and input systems optimized for various hardware devices.
  • Mentor junior developers, provide technical guidance, and conduct code reviews to ensure code quality.
  • Guide the architectural design and planning of XR systems and code, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
