Job Title : Power BI ArchitectExperience : 8 to 12 YearsLocation : Gachibowli, Hyderabad (Work from Office)Role Overview : We are looking for a Power BI Architect with a proven track record in designing and implementing scalable Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of relevant experience in architecture and solution design, along with strong expertise in Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and SQL.This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and BI teams to architect and deliver data visualization, reporting, and analytics solutions that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization.Roles & Responsibilities : Solution Architecture & Design : - Architect end-to-end Power BI solutions ensuring scalability, performance, and data integrity.- Design and implement BI frameworks leveraging Microsoft Fabric for data integration, governance, and scalability.- Define and implement Power BI best practices, standards, and governance models.Data Modeling & Transformation : - Develop and optimize data models using Power BI Desktop and Microsoft Fabric Dataflows.- Design star schemas, relationships, measures, and calculated columns for efficient reporting and analytics.- Perform data transformation and cleansing using Power Query (M language) and Power BI Dataflows.Data Integration & Engineering : - Integrate data from diverse sources including SQL databases, APIs, Azure Data Lake, and data warehouses.- Collaborate with data engineers to establish robust ETL/ELT pipelines.- Ensure data consistency and accuracy across multiple systems.Reporting & Visualization : - Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and KPIs in Power BI Service with a focus on usability and visual excellence.- Incorporate advanced DAX calculations and storytelling techniques to communicate insights effectively.- Implement row-level security (RLS) and optimize dataset performance.Performance & Optimization : - Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance of Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards.- Review and fine-tune SQL queries and data models for maximum efficiency.Collaboration & Documentation : - Work closely with business users to gather requirements and translate them into BI solutions.- Maintain detailed documentation of BI architecture, data models, and design patterns.- Provide guidance and mentorship to BI developers and analysts.Training & Knowledge Sharing : - Conduct training sessions for Power BI users and internal teams.- Stay updated with the latest Power BI and Microsoft Fabric features, applying innovations where appropriate.Required Skill Set : - Microsoft Power BI (Desktop & Service) - Expert in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling.- Microsoft Fabric - Experience with data integration, Fabric Dataflows, and governance.- SQL - Strong expertise in writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.- Data Warehouse & ETL Concepts - Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, schema design, and ETL processes.- Visualization & UX Design - Strong ability to design intuitive, visually appealing dashboards and reports.- Integration Tools - Familiarity with Azure Synapse, Data Factory, or similar tools.- Knowledge of additional BI tools such as MicroStrategy and Tableau is highly desirable.- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure / AWS) and scripting languages (Python or R) is an added advantage.Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's preferred).- 8 to 12 years of overall BI experience with at least 3-4 years as a Power BI Architect.- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.- Relevant certifications such as : o Microsoft Certified : Power BI Data Analyst Associateo Microsoft Certified : Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (Preferred)o Microsoft Certified : Azure Data Engineer AssociatePreferred Skills : - Experience with data governance, lineage, and data quality frameworks.- Understanding of AI integration within Power BI (Copilot, AI visuals, etc.- Ability to lead technical discussions and collaborate across multiple teams (ref:hirist.tech)
