Logistics Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR LOGISTICS PERSON

Key Responsibilities:

1. Delivery Management:

o Prepare and maintain delivery schedules based on priority,

urgency, and customer requirements.

o Coordinate with vendors, customers, and team members to

ensure timely delivery of goods.

2. Order Dispatch:

o Oversee the packing, labelling, and dispatching of goods.

o Verify that all items are properly documented with accurate

nomenclature before shipment.

3. Freight and Transportation:

o Organize and manage freight shipments, ensuring cost-

effectiveness and adherence to deadlines.

o Communicate with transport companies to optimize delivery

routes and timelines.

o Purchase transportation insurance and should know the

procedure & documentation for claiming the insurance when

required.

4. Import/Export Compliance:

o Handle documentation for import/export processes, ensuring

compliance with international trade regulations.

o Coordinate with customs authorities and freight forwarders to

clear shipments.

5. Inventory and Documentation:

o Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and inventory

levels.

o Prepare periodic reports for management on logistics operations

and challenges.

6. Problem Solving:

o Address and resolve logistical issues, such as shipment delays or

discrepancies in delivery.

o Monitor performance metrics and suggest improvements for

operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business

administration, or a related field.

 1-3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain roles

(preferred).

 Strong knowledge of freight operations and import/export regulations.

 Proficiency in logistics software and tools.

Work Environment:

 Primarily office-based with occasional visits to warehouses or
