About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Azure Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize large-scale data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft Azure data services, data modeling, and building high-performance data architectures to support analytics and business intelligence needs.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance data pipelines and data integration workflows on Azure.

- Build and maintain data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time data streaming solutions.

- Implement ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Synapse.

- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.

- Ensure data quality, governance, and security best practices are followed.

- Monitor and optimize data workloads for performance and cost efficiency.

- Work with DevOps and CI/CD practices for automated deployment of data solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5-9 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 3+ years in Azure ecosystem.

- Strong knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).

- Hands-on experience in SQL, Python or Scala for data processing and transformation.

- Expertise in ETL/ELT design patterns, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts.

- Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Delta Lake) and real-time streaming (Event Hubs, Kafka).

- Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with Power BI, Azure Machine Learning, or other analytics tools.

- Knowledge of other cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) is a plus.

- Azure certifications such as DP-203 : Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure or equivalent.
