Lead - Internal Cloud Support

Job Overview :

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Lead - Internal Cloud Support to take ownership of the end-to-end architecture and operations for our internal cloud platforms, primarily built on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). In this leadership role, you will guide a team of cloud engineers and specialists, design scalable and secure cloud solutions, drive architectural excellence, and ensure the 24x7 availability and continuous optimization of our critical internal cloud services. Key Responsibilities :

- Cloud Architecture Ownership : Own the end-to-end architecture for internal cloud platforms, focusing on both IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) and PaaS (Platform as a Service) layers within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

- Solution Design & Review : Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions for a diverse range of internal applications, robust DevOps pipelines, and comprehensive monitoring systems. You'll also review and approve solution blueprints, prototypes, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) deployments.

- Technical Governance & Leadership : Lead technical reviews, ensuring all cloud solutions and deployments align with enterprise architecture standards and stringent security policies. Guide the team in implementing best practices for cloud security, identity management (IDCS), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and advanced monitoring.

- Team & Performance Management : Manage and mentor a team of dedicated cloud engineers, administrators, and support specialists responsible for all internal cloud operations. Drive delivery excellence by conducting performance reviews, fostering continuous learning, and ensuring strict adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

- Cross-functional Collaboration : Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams to support crucial internal initiatives such as CloudX, WinfoBots, and WinfoTest, ensuring cloud infrastructure effectively supports these projects.

- Service Availability & Operations : Ensure 24x7 availability of internal cloud services by establishing and maintaining robust escalation and incident response procedures. Oversee all patching, upgrades, and ensure Disaster Recovery (DR) / Business Continuity Planning (BCP) readiness for internal systems.

- Cost Optimization : Continuously analyze and optimize cloud resource utilization to achieve significant cost efficiencies while maintaining performance.

- Strategic Contribution : Participate actively in strategic planning sessions for internal IT modernization and digital expansion. Support presales efforts by contributing to internal capability decks, responding to RFPs, and delivering compelling solution demos.

Required Technical Skills :

- Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud platforms, with primary expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) across both IaaS and PaaS layers.

- Proven experience in leading technical teams in cloud operations or engineering roles.

- Strong understanding and practical experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).

- Expertise in cloud security best practices, including network security, identity and access management (IDCS, RBAC), data protection, and compliance.

- Familiarity with DevOps pipelines and their integration with cloud infrastructure.

- Experience with cloud monitoring tools and setting up comprehensive alerting systems.

- Knowledge of database services (e.g., Autonomous Database) and compute services (e.g., VMs, Kubernetes) on OCI.

- Understanding of networking concepts in a cloud environment (VCNs, Subnets, Load Balancers, VPNs).

- Experience with patching, upgrades, and implementing DR/BCP solutions in cloud environments.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues.
