The role requires both technical expertise (electronics, debugging, lab tools) and soft skills (collaboration, safety, documentation).Key Technical Qualifications- Education- Diploma/Bachelor’s in Electronics, Electrical, or related engineering discipline. - → Typical for hardware/lab support roles.- Experience- 2–5 years in lab support, board-level debug, or hardware validation. - → Mid-level entry role, not a fresh graduate position.- Technical Skills- PCB rework, soldering, component-level troubleshooting. - Familiarity with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, automated test equipment. - Reading schematics/layouts and debugging using signal tracing. - Scripting/automation (Python, LabVIEW) → nice-to-have, not mandatory.Key Responsibilities- Perform board-level debug (signal probing, fault isolation, rework). - Support hardware validation & bring-up activities with design/test teams. - Operate and maintain lab instruments (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, etc.). - Handle calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment. - Manage lab inventory, tools, consumables, procurement. - Document debug results, maintain equipment usage logs. - Ensure ESD compliance, safety protocols, lab cleanliness. - Work in shift-based support including weekends (critical point). - Collaborate cross-functionally for product validation and issue resolution.Soft Skills & Traits Required- Attention to detail – critical for debug & documentation. - Problem-solving – root cause analysis, corrective action support. - Ownership & accountability – taking responsibility for lab deliverables. - Team collaboration – working across design, validation, test. - Adaptability – handling changing schedules/priorities. - Communication – clear reporting of debug findings/issues. - Safety-conscious – ensuring ESD compliance and lab safety.Key Highlights of the JD- Hands-on lab-intensive role (not design or verification heavy). - Requires board-level skills (debugging, soldering, rework). - Focus on lab operations management + technical debug activities. - Shift-based job including weekends → important to highlight for candidates. - Great for candidates from hardware validation, board debug, test engineering, or lab technician backgrounds.Ideal Candidate Profile for ARM (Bangalore):- 2–5 years in electronics lab support (semiconductor, embedded, or electronics hardware). - Strong PCB rework, soldering, debug, and lab equipment handling skills. - Experience in validation/test environments in semiconductors/electronics. - Flexible for shift/weekend support. - Familiar with Python/LabVIEW scripting (added advantage)
