About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and visionary Principal cum Professor of Nursing to lead our Doon School of Nursing. The role requires an accomplished academic leader with strong administrative capabilities, teaching excellence, and a commitment to advancing nursing education and research. The ideal candidate will drive innovation in teaching, maintain regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of academic excellence and professional integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Administration

• Provide academic and administrative leadership to the College of Nursing.
• Ensure compliance with Indian Nursing Council (INC), State Nursing Council, and University regulations.
• Oversee curriculum planning, implementation, and evaluation in line with regulatory standards.
• Manage faculty recruitment, mentoring, and professional development.
• Develop and monitor academic budgets, resources, and infrastructure for the College of Nursing.
• Represent the college in regulatory, professional, and academic forums.

Teaching & Research

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate nursing students with a focus on clinical and theoretical excellence.
• Mentor faculty and students in research, clinical practice, and professional growth.
• Promote research, publications, and collaborations with healthcare institutions.
• Guide students in academic projects, dissertations, and practical training.

Student Development

• Foster a student-centered learning environment.
• Ensure holistic development of students, emphasizing ethics, patient care, and leadership skills.
• Strengthen linkages with hospitals, healthcare organizations, and professional bodies for training and placements.

Required Qualifications

• Educational:
• M.Sc. (Nursing) is mandatory.
• Ph.D. (Nursing) preferred.
• Experience:
• Minimum 15 years of teaching experience with M.Sc. (Nursing) out of which 10 years after M.Sc. (Nursing) in collegiate program.
• Demonstrated leadership in nursing education, research, and administration.
