Description:Job Purpose:To identify, prevent, and investigate frauds in the Loan Against Property (LAP) portfolio through systematic checks, audits, and market intelligence. The role ensures adherence to internal controls and RBI guidelines, thereby safeguarding the organization from financial and reputational risk.Principal Accountabilities:Fraud Prevention , Detection and Investigation- Verify loan application documents through empanelled verification agencies to prevent fraud at the entry level.- Conduct sampling and random audits of applications to ensure effectiveness of fraud detection mechanisms.- Review KYC, income documents, property papers, and other applicant information to identify red flags.- Utilize market intelligence and internal databases to conduct background/profile checks on customers, co-applicants, guarantors, and intermediaries.- Liaise with credit, risk, and operations teams to strengthen early-stage fraud identification processes.- 100% Cross checks on report submitted by the verification Agencies for Authenticity of information submitted- The role involves close collaboration with cross - functional teams, maintaining documentation, and providing timely resolutions to complex challenges. - In addition, the individual is expected to identify risks, propose automation or optimization initiatives, and adhere to industry standards and organizational policies. - Effective communication with stakeholders, ensuring compliance, and maintaining high levels of accuracy and accountability form a core part of daily responsibilities. Qualification required: Bachelors degree in commerce, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field. Qualifications preferred: Graduate/BCom/MBA/CA dropoutWork Experience:- 2 to 3 years of work experience in HL/LAP RCU process in Banking/ NBFC/ Financial industry- Good communication skills, coordination skills and email management skills- Well versed with Microsoft excel, Word, PPT skills (ref:iimjobs.com)
