About the Role :

ZettaMine is seeking a skilled SAP BASIS Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, monitoring, and maintenance of SAP systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across all environments. You will work closely with technical and functional teams to provide technical expertise and support throughout the SAP system lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities :

- Monitor SAP system performance, including work processes, user activity, system logs, short dumps, locks, developer/system traces, and disk space usage to proactively identify and resolve issues.

- Tune and optimize SAP systems for improved stability, performance, and availability.

- Administer and maintain multiple SAP instances such as development, quality, training, and production environments.

- Execute client copies, transports, and upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime and system stability.

- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for SAP BASIS issues, including transport management, job scheduling, system dumps, and spool administration.

- Manage SAP printing infrastructure, ensuring seamless printing services across all SAP systems.

- Handle SAP transport and change management using the Correction and Transport System (CTS), ensuring proper promotion of configuration and development objects.

- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues between SAP and other third-party systems or applications.

- Configure and manage SAP system security including SSL, Single Sign-On (SSO), certificate management, renewal, and trust-building between systems.

- Configure Web Dispatcher to balance SAP workloads and secure SAP services.

- Implement system and security patches to maintain compliance and system security standards.

- Support projects by providing BASIS expertise related to ABAP and JAVA stacks. Knowledge of applications such as BOBJ, BODS, Cloud Connector, Content Server, OpenText will be an advantage.

- Collaborate with functional and technical teams during upgrades, migrations, and system refresh activities.

- Assist in the design and implementation of SAP operational processes to enhance system reliability and availability.

- Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system configurations, SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and operational procedures.

- Effectively communicate with clients and internal teams during bridge calls, project updates, and incident resolution meetings.

- Follow ITIL processes and maintain records of incidents, changes, and service requests.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 3 to 8 years of experience as an SAP BASIS Consultant with hands-on experience in SAP system administration and support.

- Strong experience in ABAP and JAVA stack management.

- Good understanding of SAP transport management and CTS.

- Expertise in SSL, SSO configuration, certificate management, and SAP security protocols.

- Experience with SAP Web Dispatcher and SAP printing administration.

- Knowledge of SAP system upgrades, client copy, and system refresh activities.

- Familiarity with SAP application add-ons such as BOBJ, BODS, Cloud Connector, Content Server, OpenText (preferred).

- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure.

- Excellent communication skills with experience handling client interactions and bridge calls.

- Knowledge of system performance tuning and capacity planning.

- Ability to document technical processes clearly and thoroughly.
