Job Title: Power BI Developer


Job Description:

We are on the lookout for a talented and experienced Power BI Developer to join our team in the edtech domain. The 

ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in developing and implementing business intelligence solutions using 

Power BI. In this role, you'll be crafting interactive and visually stunning reports and dashboards that provide valuable 

insights to our organization.


Key Responsibilities:

Design and Develop: Create and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to meet business 

requirements.

Collaborate: Work with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and develop suitable solutions.

Data Proficiency: Demonstrate strong skills in data modeling, data transformation, and ETL processes.

Data Extraction and Transformation: Extract data from various sources, transform it, and load it into Power BI for 

analysis.

Advanced Analysis: Create calculated columns, measures, and DAX formulas to enhance data analysis capabilities.

Publishing and Scheduling: Develop, publish, and schedule Power BI reports while visualizing various business 

trends.

M-Query Understanding: Apply your knowledge of M-Query in data transformation tasks.

Troubleshooting: Resolve issues related to data, report performance, or user inquiries.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest Power BI features and best practices to continuously improve 

reporting capabilities.

Data Governance: Maintain data governance and security standards to protect sensitive information.

Create Dataflows: Develop dataflows to streamline data processes.

Implement RLS: Implement Row Level Security (RLS) to control data access.

User Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users for self-service reporting.


Qualifications: 


Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years of hands-on experience with Power BI development.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating advanced calculations and measures.

Database Knowledge: Knowledge of SQL and experience with various database systems.

Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Power Query: Experience with Power Query for data transformation.

Service Familiarity: Familiarity with Power BI Service.
