Description : - SAP Document Management System (DMS) ConsultantLocation : - Pune / Bangalore, IndiaMode of Work : - Hybrid (Work From Home Option Available)Experience : - 5 to 7 YearsNotice Period : - Immediate Joiners Preferred (Maximum 30 days)Overview : We are seeking a proactive and experienced SAP Document Management System (DMS) Consultant with 5 to 7 years of dedicated experience to join our team.The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, and support of SAP DMS solutions, ensuring efficient and compliant management of enterprise documents across various business processes.Expertise in integrating DMS with core SAP modules and document storage solutions is essential.Key Responsibilities : - DMS Solution Design & Configuration : Lead the design and implementation of the SAP DMS module, including configuration of document types, statuses, number ranges, user-specific screens, and object links.- Object Linking & Integration : Define and configure object links between DMS documents and various core SAP objects (e.g., Materials, Equipment, Sales Orders, WBS Elements) to enable integrated document retrieval.- Storage & Archiving Strategy : Advise on and implement appropriate document storage strategies, including configuration of secure content repositories (e.g., SAP Content Server, external repositories) and archiving solutions.- Business Process Mapping : Work closely with functional teams (MM, PP, PM, PS) and business users to gather requirements and map complex document-centric business processes into the SAP DMS solution.- Authorization Management : Design and implement robust DMS authorization profiles and roles to control access, versioning, and lifecycle management of sensitive documents.- Data Migration : Support data migration activities related to existing documents from legacy systems into the SAP DMS environment.- Troubleshooting & Support : Provide expert-level support, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for the SAP DMS solution.- Documentation & Training : Create comprehensive functional specifications, test scripts, and end-user training materials.Required Skills & Qualifications : - Experience : 5 to 7 years of hands-on, full lifecycle experience as an SAP DMS Functional Consultant.- DMS Mastery : In-depth knowledge of SAP DMS configuration, including document structure, versions, status networks, and digital signatures.- Integration Skills : Proven experience integrating DMS with primary SAP modules (e.g., MM, PM, PS).- Content Repository : Practical experience configuring and working with SAP Content Server or other content management/storage solutions.- Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client and stakeholder interaction.- Availability : Must be an Immediate Joiner or have a short notice period (30 days maximum).Good-to-Have Skills : - Experience with SAP Engineering Change Management (ECM) integration with DMS.- Familiarity with SAP Archiving principles and tools.- Knowledge of Fiori apps for document viewing and management.- Exposure to GxP or other regulatory compliance requirements in document control (ref:hirist.tech)
