Equity and Institutional Sales
Role Overview:
This senior role is focused on advancing the firm's presence in the institutional equity market, driving business growth, and delivering high-impact client advisory services. The individual will leverage deep expertise in equity markets, leadership skills, and client relationships to expand the firm's portfolio and build long-lasting client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Client Partnerships: Cultivate and enhance relationships with high-value institutional clients, tailoring investment solutions to align with their long-term goals and risk profiles.
- Sales Strategy & Leadership: Define and execute an institutional equity sales strategy that aligns with market trends and the firm's growth objectives; oversee a team of sales professionals, promoting collaboration and sales excellence.
- Market Leadership & Intelligence: Serve as a subject matter expert on equity markets, regularly conducting market and sector analysis to anticipate opportunities and risks.
- Share insights with clients and internal teams to inform strategic decision-making.
- Product Innovation & Customization: Collaborate closely with research, product development, and portfolio management teams to develop and customize investment products that meet the evolving needs of institutional clients.
- Revenue & Business Growth: Drive revenue growth through identifying and capturing new business opportunities, cross-selling equity solutions, and expanding the client base.
- Risk & Compliance Management: Ensure all client interactions and sales activities meet regulatory standards, and proactively manage risks associated with client portfolios and market dynamics.
- Client Portfolio Advisory: Advise on asset allocation, portfolio structuring, and rebalancing strategies to optimize client returns in line with market conditions and regulatory changes.

- Advanced Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of equity markets, global economic trends, and institutional investment strategies.
- Client-Centric Approach: Proven track record in building and maintaining strategic client relationships and delivering customized financial solutions.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Demonstrated success in leading high-performance sales teams and mentoring junior professionals.
- Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical abilities to assess market data, spot trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Excellent Communication & Negotiation Skills: Exceptional ability to convey complex market information and negotiate solutions that align with client and firm objectives.
- Compliance & Risk Awareness: Up-to-date knowledge of regulatory standards and a commitment to managing risk in all sales activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA/CA/CFA or equivalent in Finance, Economics, or related fields.
- 10+ years of relevant experience, with a robust background in equity and institutional sales.
- Prior experience in wealth management or financial services is highly preferred.
