Crystal Solutions Ltd. is a leading International Recruitment Service Provider across the globe. We are hiring Production & Maintenance Head for managing Cold Rolling Mill for a Steel Manufacturing Company in Dar es Salaam. Details of the requirement is as stated below.


Experience: 15-20 Years with 5 yrs in leadership role

Education: Graduate

Location: Dar es Salaam

Salary: 2200 USD per month + Electricity allowance, Gas Allowance, Maid allowance, mobile allowance, fuel allowance, medical allowance, OT Allowances : $230/- Per month

Other Benefits: Single Status accommodation, Transportation from Residence to Factory, 30 Day’s Annual Leave with to & fro ticket to home country & Medical as per company policy.


Job role:

  • Hands on Cold Rolling process of Steel
  • Worked in steel industries more than 15 years
  • Hands on with experience of 4hi & 6hi cold rolling mill
  • Experience on maintenance & production
  • Production experience as per specification and requirements
  • Knowledge of coolant and coolant system
  • Hard core responsible for preparing and maintenance of coolant
  • Responsible and capable to analyse the process for improvement
  • Having knowledge & responsible to prepare various reports
  • Responsible for rejection control and cost saving in cold rolling mill
  • Knowledge of maintenance of cold rolling mill
  • Hands on & responsible to reduce the down time and increase the productivity of mill
  • Hands on maintenance of roll grinding, grinding machining and various works shop as required to support the mill
  • Responsible for workshop for mill
  • Knowledge of ETP which required to associate and support the functioning of the mill
  • Knowledge of pickling and trimming process for better control and effective measurements
  • Knowledge of application system as well operating system
  • Basic electrical understanding for preventive maintenance and controlling maintenance
  • Plan, organize, direct, control; and evaluate the operations of the production department within company policies and procedures;
  • Develop and implement plans to efficiency use materials, labor and equipment to meet production target,
  • Manage the establishment of department budget; develop production schedules and maintain an inventory of raw materials
  • Plan and implement changes to machinery and equipment, production system and methods of work; direct quality control inspection system and develop production reporting procedures;
  • Develop equipment maintenance schedules and recommend the replacement of machines, attend scheduled corporate training and meetings; oversee training of employees in the use of new equipment or production techniques, conduct employee performance review, responsible for establishing all shift schedules, continuous improvements, factory performance reports, company emergency problems solving, performance evaluation, make the annual budget for the line.
