Senior Software Design Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced MATLAB/Simulink Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for requirement analysis and Model Based Algorithm Development (MBD) using MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow. You should have a solid understanding of the V-model process and experience with static code analysis.


Primary Duties:

  • Requirement analysis and Model Based Algorithm Development (MBD) using MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow.
  • Knowledge of working with the V-model process.
  • Conduct static code analysis.
  • Perform MIL, SIL, and PIL testing.
  • Expertise in system and software requirement analysis and software design practices.
  • Understand AUTOSAR architecture and develop AUTOSAR-based models.
  • Generate auto code using the dSPACE TargetLink tool. Configure AUTOSAR in TargetLink and generate AUTOSAR-compliant code.
  • Prepare functional test cases from requirements and generate coverage-based test cases from models using tools like Simulink Design Verifier (SLDV).
  • Integrate auto-generated software with application software.
  • Support requirement engineering and system engineering.
  • Proficient with in-vehicle debugging and testing using CAN communication tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, etc.) and dSPACE/ControlDesk.

Requisites:

  • Familiarity with vehicle systems, including body, engine, drivetrain, and chassis is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Model Based Algorithm Development (MBD) using MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow.
  • Knowledge of ASPICE & ISO 26262-part 6 Software Development Life Cycle (MBD-SDLC).
  • Knowledge of AUTOSAR software development methods and automotive in-vehicle networks such as CAN (Controller Area Network), Ethernet, and LIN.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Well-developed analytical ability and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of ADAS applications and sensors is an added advantage.


Education and /or Experience:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering or any equivalent degree.

Minimum 4 - 7 years of experience in Automotive Industry.
