The School offers academic and extension programs, promotes research and consultancy activities, and is recognised as a Center for Excellence in Urban Planning by the Government of India.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a PhD Scholar at the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. The PhD Scholar will be responsible for conducting research, literature reviews, data analysis, and documentation. Additionally, the PhD Scholar will collaborate with faculty members, assist in teaching and mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students, and contribute to publication and conference presentations.QualificationsStrong research and analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Research experience in any of these areas of expertise: a) Large Language Models (LLM), b) Natural Language Processing, c) Location intelligence, d) Google Data Science Agent, e) Machine Learning, f) GeoAI, g) Image Processing, h) Explainable AI, i) Nureal Networks/Deep Learning or related fields Proficiency in software Python, C, C++, KNIME, Anaconda, Keras, Geo-pandas, MatLab, etc. Prior experience in research projects or publications Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Artificial Intelligence, Geo-informatics, Data Analytics, Urban Planning, Architecture, or related fieldArea of ResearchArtificial Intelligence Geo-Spatial Data Science Use of Machine Learning in Urban Planning Use of LLMs in Urban Planning GIS and Deep Learning Models Other AI based applications in Urban PlanningStipendRs. 45,000 /- per month.Note: This is full time position. Candidates will not be accepted for part-time position. Students having knowledge and experience in the above research areas shall only apply.
