About the Job :

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist with a strong background in the credit card domain to join our dynamic team in Bangalore.

This is an exciting opportunity to work onsite with a fast-paced and growing startup, where you will leverage your expertise in Python, SAS, and advanced analytics to drive impactful business decisions.

You will play a pivotal role in analyzing large datasets, developing predictive models, and delivering actionable insights to stakeholders across product, risk, and marketing teams.

Responsibilities :

- Design and build predictive models to support campaign targeting, personalization, and cross-sell initiatives.

- Lead end-to-end campaign execution from target list generation and segmentation to post-campaign tracking and insights.

- Develop and maintain marketing dashboards to track KPIs such as customer acquisition, conversion, retention, and campaign ROI.

- Conduct customer segmentation and behaviour analysis to support tailored marketing strategies.

- Execute A/B and multivariate tests to measure and optimize campaign effectiveness.

- Extract, transform, and prepare large volumes of customer and transactional data using SAS (Base, Macro, EG) and Python (Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).

- Partner closely with marketing, product, and CRM teams to align analytical outputs with business objectives.

- Track and report on campaign performance metrics, making recommendations for optimization and personalization.

- Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and analytics tools.

Requirements :

- 5+ years of experience in marketing or customer analytics, preferably in the credit card or retail banking domain.

- Strong expertise in SAS (Base, Macro, Enterprise Guide) and Python for data analysis and model development.

- Experience in campaign lifecycle management segmentation, execution, and post-campaign analytics.

- Strong understanding of customer lifecycle metrics, campaign attribution, and uplift modeling.

- Proficiency in designing and analyzing A/B tests and other experimental frameworks.

- Experience working with SQL and relational databases.

- Strong communication and data storytelling skills; ability to present insights clearly to business stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications :

- Experience in financial services or banking analytics.

- Masters/Bachelors degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or related field.
