Android Developer

Job Summary :

We are seeking a talented and passionate Android Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers, to create engaging and intuitive mobile experiences.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Android development principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for creating exceptional mobile applications.

Responsibilities :

Android Application Development :

- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Android applications using Kotlin and Java.

- Implement user interfaces and experiences that are both visually appealing and highly functional.

- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

- Integrate with RESTful APIs and other backend services.

- Implement and maintain local data storage solutions.

Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) :

- Participate in all phases of the SDLC, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.

- Collaborate with product managers and designers to define app features and specifications.

- Contribute to code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

- Work in an Agile development environment.

Testing and Debugging :

- Write and execute unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.

- Debug and troubleshoot application issues.

- Perform performance optimization and profiling.

- Ensure application stability and reliability.

Technology Implementation :

- Utilize Android Jetpack components and other modern Android development tools and libraries.

- Implement and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest Android development trends and best practices.

- Implement push notifications, location services, and other relevant features.

User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) :

- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement intuitive and engaging user interfaces.

- Ensure applications are responsive and adapt to various screen sizes and device configurations.

- Implement accessibility features to ensure applications are usable by all users.

Collaboration and Communication :

- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

- Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning.

- Provide technical guidance and support to other team members.

- Document development processes and best practices.

Code Management :

- Utilize version control systems (e., Git) for code management.

- Follow established coding standards and best practices.

- Maintain code repositories and branches.

Qualifications :

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Experience :

- 7 years of experience in Android application development.

- Proven experience with Kotlin and Java programming languages.

- Experience with Android Jetpack components.

- Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON.

- Experience with database management (e., SQLite, Room).

Technical Skills :

- Strong understanding of Android SDK and Android Studio.

- Proficiency in Kotlin and Java programming languages.

- Experience with Android Architecture Components (ViewModel, LiveData, Room).

- Knowledge of multithreading and asynchronous programming.

- Familiarity with dependency injection (e. Dagger, Hilt).

- Experience with testing frameworks (e., JUnit, Espresso).

- Understanding of version control systems (e., Git).
