Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer with expertise in Python, C++, and ROS2 (Robot Operating System 2) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will work on developing cutting-edge robotics and automation systems, leveraging their skills in software development, system integration, and real-time communication. This role requires a strong background in software engineering, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for innovation in robotics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Software Development:
  • Design, implement, and maintain software solutions in Python and C++ for robotics and automation applications.
  • Develop modular and reusable code adhering to industry best practices.
  • System Design and Testing:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications.
  • Test, debug, and validate system performance on both simulated and physical robotic platforms.
  • Ensure high reliability and robustness in real-time operations.
  • Collaboration and Documentation:
  • Work closely with hardware and systems engineering teams to ensure seamless software-hardware integration.
  • Maintain clear and detailed documentation of designs, workflows, and code.
  • Contribute to code reviews, sprint planning, and agile development cycles.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay updated with advancements in ROS2, Python, Docker and C++ technologies.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance performance, scalability, and maintainability of the software stack.

Required Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or related field.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Proficient in Python and C++, with experience in developing robust, production-level code.
  • Strong understanding of ROS2, including its middleware, tools (e.g., RViz, Gazebo, rclcpp/rclpy), and communication patterns.
  • Familiarity with real-time systems and multi threading.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented design, software architecture, and data structures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in robotics domains sensor integration (e.g., LiDAR, cameras).
  • Knowledge of ROS2 middleware (FastDDS, CycloneDDS).
  • Familiarity with Linux-based systems and tools.
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Asana
  • Exposure to Docker
