Role Overview

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will manage analytics projects, deliver actionable insights, design scalable processes, and collaborate with clients to address complex business challenges.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Communicating with clients for requirements, updates, and deliverables.
  • Analysing datasets and designing tailored processing solutions.
  • Developing scalable data workflows using SQL, Python, and Excel.
  • Reviewing outputs to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Managing project code and outputs with Git.
  • Delivering polished outputs like dashboards, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Staying updated on tools, platforms, and methods to enhance efficiency.


Required Technical Skills

SQL

  • Work with data models and schemas, including FACT & DIMENSION tables
  • Write complex queries joining multiple tables with varying aggregation levels.
  • Optimize queries using indexing and partitioning techniques.
  • Use advanced SQL features like window functions and CTEs.

Python

  • Process data in formats like CSV, JSON, Excel, and Parquet using Pandas, NumPy, and Polars.
  • Visualize data using libraries like Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Plotly.
  • Integrate APIs using the requests library and handle JSON data efficiently.
  • Write modular object-oriented code with classes and methods.

Data Visualizations

  • Build dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or Amazon Quicksight.
  • Apply visualization best practices, including effective chart types and design.

Cloud Platforms

  • Experience with at least one leading cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for data storage and analytics.

Version Control

  • Use Git for version control of code, data, and documentation.
  • Manage repositories and branches for collaborative development.


Required Professional Skills

Problem Solving

  • Translate business objectives into well-defined data challenges.
  • Propose data-driven solutions to client problems.

Communication

  • Strong written and verbal English skills.
  • Collaborate with international clients effectively.

AI Tools

  • Use tools like ChatGPT and Gemini for research, troubleshooting, and innovation.
  • Integrate AI tools into workflows to improve productivity.


Additional Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Knowledge of machine learning workflows and frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow).
  • Familiarity with LLMs and prompt engineering (e.g., OpenAI, HuggingFace).
  • Experience with data engineering and ETL tools like DBT.


Qualifications

  • B.Tech. / B.E. / B.Sc. (Statistics).
  • 3+ years of experience as a data/business analyst with SQL and Python expertise.
