Title: Head of Department (HOD) – Electrical Department:Engineering – Electrical Location:Noida Reports To:Head – Engineering / Director – Projects Qualification:B.Tech / M.Tech in Electrical Engineering Experience:20 – 30 yearsAbout the Company: Macawber Beekayis a leading EPC organization engaged in the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, erection, and commissioning of bulk material handling systems, specializing in Ash Handling and Coal Handling projects for the power and process industries.Role Objective: The HOD – Electrical will lead the Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineering function for Material Handling Projects. The role demands expertise in design engineering, system integration, and leadership of a multidisciplinary engineering team to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and timely project deliverables.Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering team comprising engineers and draftspersons. Oversee the complete design and engineering of electrical systems forMaterial Handling Projects , includingAsh Handling and Conveyor Systems . Responsible fordesign, specification, and selectionof major electrical equipment such as: HT & LT Switchboards Transformers Cables and Cable Routing Motors and Drives UPS Systems and PLC Panels Instrumentation and Control Systems Review and approve engineering drawings, layouts, and technical documentation. Conducttechnical evaluation and scrutinyof vendor offers and equipment specifications. Providetechnical guidance and supportduring project execution, erection, and commissioning stages. Ensure engineering deliverables meetproject timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Coordinate with cross-functional departments including Mechanical, Civil, and Projects for seamless integration. Stay updated with relevantindustry standards, codes, and practicesfor electrical design and safety. Mentor, train, and develop engineering team members for skill enhancement and succession planning.Functional Skills & Competencies: Strong expertise inDesign & Engineering of Electrical Systemsfor large-scale Material Handling Projects. Proficiency in design and selection of: HT/LT Switchboards Transformers Cables and Motors Instrumentation and PLC systems UPS and Control Systems Sound knowledge ofElectrical Standards (IS, IEC, IEEE)andSafety Regulations. Hands-on experience intechnical bid evaluation , vendor coordination, and cost optimization. Exposure toErection and Commissioning supportfor Electrical & Instrumentation systems. Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills. Ability to handle multiple projects and ensure engineering excellence.Preferred Background: Experience inEPC CompanieshandlingMaterial Handling Systems(Ash Handling, Coal Handling, or Bulk Material Handling). Strong background inElectrical Design Engineering, Project Management, and Team Leadership.
