We are seeking a skilled and innovative Design Engineer with experience in sheet metal product design using SolidWorks to join our engineering team.


**Role Definition:**

The Design Engineer will be responsible for executing live projects, standardizing existing designs, and improving product designs. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure that designs meet customer specifications, are cost-effective, and can be manufactured efficiently. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in sheet metal product design using SolidWorks.


### Key Responsibilities:


**Design Execution:**

- Develop and execute designs for new sheet metal products, ensuring they meet customer specifications and project requirements.

- Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks.

- Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback from cross-functional teams.

- Ensure designs comply with industry standards and company specifications.


**Standardization and Improvement:**

- Standardize existing product designs to improve manufacturability, reduce costs, and enhance performance.

- Identify opportunities for design improvements and implement changes to optimize product quality and efficiency.

- Conduct root cause analysis on design-related issues and implement corrective actions.


**Project Management:**

- Collaborate with project managers and other departments to ensure timely completion of design projects.

- Track project progress, update stakeholders on status, and address any design-related challenges promptly.

- Participate in project planning meetings to provide design input and technical expertise.


**Documentation and Reporting:**

- Maintain accurate documentation of design specifications, revisions, and project progress.

- Prepare and present design reports and technical documentation to support project approvals and production processes.

- Ensure all design documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible for team members.


**Collaboration and Communication:**

- Work closely with production, procurement, and quality assurance teams to ensure designs are feasible and meet quality standards.

- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and provide design solutions.

- Participate in cross-functional team meetings to discuss project updates, design improvements, and other relevant topics.


**Quality Assurance:**

- Conduct design validation and verification to ensure products meet quality standards and customer expectations.

- Perform tolerance analysis and ensure designs can be manufactured consistently and accurately.

- Support the quality control team in addressing design-related quality issues.


### Skills Required:

- Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and technical drawings.

- Strong understanding of sheet metal design principles and manufacturing processes.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for sheet metal design.


### Educational and Experience Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.

- At least 1 year of experience in sheet metal product design using SolidWorks.


### Qualifications:

- Proven experience in developing and executing designs for sheet metal products.

- Strong technical knowledge of sheet metal materials, fabrication processes, and design optimization techniques.

- Ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

- Eagerness to learn and stay updated with the latest design trends and technologies.
