Position : Senior Murex Test Engineer

Location : Bangalore, India

Shift Timings : 12:30 PM - 9:30 PM

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Murex Test Engineer with a strong background in Murex 3.1 and extensive experience with MX Test and ONYX. The ideal candidate will have deep domain knowledge in the Capital Markets and a solid understanding of the trade lifecycle.

This role requires a hands-on professional who can design and execute automation test suites, perform reconciliations, and work closely with both business and IT teams to ensure the quality and reliability of our Murex platform. You will play a crucial part in defect management, test case reviews, and maintaining the integrity of our financial systems.

Key Responsibilities :

Murex Testing & Automation :

- Design, develop, and execute automation test suites and test cases for all releases using Murex MX Test/ONYX.

- Perform hands-on reconciliations using MX Test to validate data accuracy and consistency.

- Work with UNIX and SQL to support testing activities and perform data analysis.

Domain & Application Expertise :

- Leverage your strong domain knowledge in Capital Markets, particularly in Fixed Income and the full trade lifecycle, to create effective test strategies.

- Test applications within the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) domain.

Collaboration & Defect Management :

- Work closely with business teams to review test cases and with IT teams for deployments and fixes.

- Manage the entire defect lifecycle, including detailed defect articulation, assigning defects to technical teams, and capturing fix dates and resolution comments.

DevOps & Process Improvement :

- Use DevOps tools like Jenkins, GitHub, and Bitbucket to manage code and automate workflows.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Core Experience :

- Proven experience in the field of testing using Murex MX Test/ONYX.

- Hands-on experience with Murex 3.1.

- Automation experience with ONYX, including developing and executing test scripts.

Mandatory Technical Skills :

- Hands-on experience with UNIX and SQL.

- Experience working with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, and Bitbucket.

Professional Attributes :

- Good domain skills in Capital Markets, with working experience across various modules and instruments.

- A proper understanding of the Trade Lifecycle.

- Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

- The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience working with MX Config and MX Pipeline
