Qualifications
B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institute.
Additional certification in Cost Estimation, Project Management, or Proposal Engineering will be an advantage.

Experience
5–10 years of relevant experience in Edible Oil, Oleo Chemical, Biodiesel, or Process Equipment Manufacturing industries.
Proven record of accomplishment in proposal drafting, cost estimation, and client coordination for turnkey engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals in alignment with inputs from Sales and BD Engineers.
• Develop detailed cost sheets based on finalized equipment lists, including fabrication, bought-out items, and electrical instrumentation.
• Interpret engineering drawings (PFDs, fabrication drawings, GA drawings) to calculate BOQ, equipment weights, and material requirements.
• Estimate costs for mechanical components (e.g., pumps, valves, PHEs) and electrical items
(e.g., control panels, instruments) using vendor databases and historical data.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Projects, and Design teams to gather real-time cost inputs and technical clarifications.
• Liaise with the Design team for drawing validation and ensure alignment with process requirements.
• Maintain and update a costing database for frequently used items and vendor quotations.
• Ensure costing approvals from Senior Management before submission of final quotation to clients.
• Support Sales Engineers in client presentations, technical clarifications, and proposal negotiations.
• Track market trends, vendor pricing, and industry benchmarks to ensure competitive and accurate proposals.
• Assist in proposal standardization, documentation, and continuous improvement of proposal templates and costing tools.
