Position Summary

Our U.S.-based client is seeking an experienced and driven Tax Supervisor to join their advisory team. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in tax compliance and planning, with a demonstrated ability to manage client engagements, supervise junior staff, and provide high-quality advisory services.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead on tax engagements for closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals.
• Prepare complex federal and state tax returns with minimal supervision.
• Review small to mid-sized business and individual tax returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to current tax laws.
• Provide tax planning strategies and projections for clients and their business operations.
• Assign tasks to junior staff and oversee day-to-day progress, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Conduct in-depth tax research on complex issues and communicate findings to internal teams and clients.
• Participate in consulting projects for private and publicly held U.S.-based companies as needed.
• Stay current with U.S. federal and state tax law changes and compliance updates.
• Complete required technical training and stay updated with industry best practices.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Active CPA license preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 5 years of recent U.S. public accounting experience, with a focus on tax.
• Prior experience must be with a U.S.-based consulting, advisory, or public accounting firm.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. tax methodologies, compliance, planning, and research.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Client-service mindset with a collaborative and proactive approach.
