We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with expertise in Azure, DBT, Snowflake, DataStage, and Netezza to design, build, and optimize large-scale data solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in developing ETL/ELT pipelines, implementing data modeling best practices, and ensuring data quality and governance across complex data environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using DataStage, DBT, and Azure Data Services.


- Implement data integration solutions to ingest, transform, and load data into Snowflake and Netezza environments.

- Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into data engineering solutions.

- Optimize queries, workflows, and data models to enhance performance and cost efficiency.

- Implement data governance, data quality, and security standards across all pipelines.

- Migrate and modernize legacy data systems into cloud-based (Azure + Snowflake) solutions.

- Develop Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) and maintain technical documentation for data flows.

- Support production data pipelines by troubleshooting issues, ensuring SLA adherence, and maintaining system reliability.

- Work with cross-functional teams to enable self-service analytics through curated datasets and semantic models.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5-8 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.

- Strong expertise in Azure Data Platform (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks preferred).

- Hands-on experience with DBT for data transformation and modeling.

- Proficiency in Snowflake for cloud-based data warehousing and query optimization.

- Strong background in ETL development using IBM DataStage.

- Experience with Netezza for data warehouse management and performance tuning.

- Advanced SQL skills (joins, CTEs, optimization, data transformations).

- Familiarity with data governance, lineage, and metadata management.

- Strong problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to work in agile teams.

Good to Have :

- Experience with Python or Scala for data engineering tasks.

- Exposure to cloud migration projects (on-premises to Azure/Snowflake).

- Knowledge of Power BI/Tableau for BI reporting integration.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Git, Azure DevOps) for data deployments.
