Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Editorial Supervisor to join our dynamic team. As an Editorial Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in managing the editorial department, ensuring the seamless integration of VFX elements into the final cut of the film. You will work closely with directors, editors, VFX supervisors, and other departments to maintain the highest standards of visual storytelling.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the editorial department, ensuring efficient workflow and communication.
  • Collaborate with directors, editors, and VFX supervisors to understand project requirements and creative vision.
  • Manage the ingest, organization, and distribution of media assets, including dailies, edits, and VFX elements.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of all editorial materials, adhering to project schedules and deadlines.
  • Supervise the integration of VFX shots into the final edit, maintaining continuity and quality.
  • Coordinate with the production team to track the progress of VFX shots and provide regular updates.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to editorial workflows and media management.
  • Mentor and guide junior editorial staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, tools, and technologies related to VFX and editorial practices.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as an Editorial Supervisor or in a similar role within the VFX industry.
  • Strong understanding of editorial processes, VFX workflows, and post-production pipelines.
  • Proficiency in editorial software such as DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, and other industry-standard tools.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for visual continuity and storytelling.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Problem-solving mindset and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
  • Familiarity with color grading, sound design, and other post-production processes is a plus.
