As the Consultant in Incident Response and Digital Forensics, you will join an industry- leading team focused on providing incident response, threat analysis, and program management to our clients.

You will develop and enhance incident response processes, identify and contain security breaches, and deliver actionable insights to senior executives. This role encourages contributions to the wider security community through thought leadership, including authoring whitepapers, developing tools, and participating in conferences.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop custom reports using data from multiple sources, including threat intelligence, network sensors, and external intelligence feeds.
  • Present technical findings in organized briefings to both technical and non- technical audiences.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate security tools and products into customers’ networks.
  • Develop custom configurations, reports, and use cases for security products within customer environments.
  • Investigate and determine the extent of compromises, attributes of malware, and potential data exfiltration.
  • Develop, document, and manage containment strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date on advanced persistent threats, attacker tools, techniques, and procedures, as well as best practices in forensics and incident response.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in roles such as network forensics analyst, threat analyst, incident responder, or security engineer/consultant.
  • One or more relevant certifications, such as GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA), GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM), EnCE, or equivalent.
  • Experience developing and managing incident response programs.
  • Expertise in analyzing TCP/IP network communication protocols.
  • Proficiency in analyzing electronic media, packet capture, log data, and network devices for intrusion analysis or enterprise-level information security operations.
  • Knowledge of advanced computer exploitation methodologies.
  • Ability to synthesize and present technical data concisely to non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Perl, highly desired.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with senior executives.
  • Strong written communication and documentation skills.
  • Effective leadership and the ability to prioritize and execute tasks methodically and efficiently.
  • Expertise in setting and managing expectations with senior stakeholders and team members.
  • Strong knowledge of information security solutions and technologies, including network and host-based tools.
  • Familiarity with implementing NIST information security guidelines in diverse environments.
  • In-depth understanding of packet flow, TCP/UDP traffic, firewall technologies, proxy technologies, antivirus, and spam/spyware solutions.
  • Malware/security expertise and programming/scripting skills are highly desired.
