Job Title: Technical Business Analyst

Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka


Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements, ensuring they are clear, comprehensive, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Business Process Analysis: Analyze current business processes, identify areas for improvement, and propose solutions that leverage technology to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Technical Liaison: Act as a bridge between business teams and technical teams, translating business requirements into technical specifications for IT development.
  • Solution Design: Work with IT teams to design and validate technical solutions that meet business needs, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and aligned with Northern Trust’s technology standards.
  • Project Management: Support project managers in planning, executing, and monitoring projects, ensuring that deliverables are met within scope, time, and budget constraints.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop test cases, coordinate testing activities, and ensure that the final product meets the agreed-upon requirements and quality standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of business requirements, technical specifications, process flows, and project deliverables.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication between business and technical teams, ensuring that all stakeholders are kept informed of project status, risks, and issues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and work with teams to implement best practices and innovative solutions.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMP) are a plus.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a technical environment, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and SQL.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex business requirements and translate them into actionable technical specifications.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality, accurate work.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the financial services industry, with an understanding of banking, asset management, or wealth management processes.
  • Technical Acumen: Familiarity with data analysis tools, reporting solutions, and cloud technologies is a plus.
