Job Summary:


As a DevOps Engineer Lead at Buddy Deals, you will be responsible for leading our DevOps strategy, fostering collaboration between development and operations teams, and ensuring the seamless deployment of software and infrastructure improvements. You will play a key role in building scalable, reliable, and secure systems to support the growing demands of our e-commerce platform.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and have experience leading a team of DevOps engineers.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of scalable and reliable infrastructure across multiple environments.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment of applications and services.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth integration, deployment, and operation of systems.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to ensure the stability and performance of applications.
  • Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, security, and cost-efficiency (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for DevOps processes, tools, and systems architecture.
  • Mentor, guide, and manage a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Work closely with security teams to ensure all systems and applications adhere to security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate on disaster recovery, backup, and high-availability strategies.
Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps or related fields, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proficiency in one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hands-on experience with cloud architecture design.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and infrastructure-as-code (IAC).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
  • Understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and performance optimization.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
