Automation Test Engineer (Playwright)Summary :We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automation Test Engineer to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks using Playwright. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of our web applications by integrating automated tests into our continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.Key Responsibilities :- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable automated test scripts and frameworks using Playwright.- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to define test strategies, create test plans, and establish acceptance criteria.- Execute automated test suites, analyze test results, and report defects with clear, detailed documentation.- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions) to support frequent and reliable software releases.- Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing.- Debug and troubleshoot test failures, identifying the root cause of issues and working with the development team to ensure timely resolution.- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and best practices.- Stay up to date with emerging trends in test automation and web technologies.Required Skills and Qualifications :- Proven experience as an Automation Test Engineer or a similar role.- Strong hands-on experience with the Playwright framework.- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as JavaScript or TypeScript.- Solid understanding of software quality assurance (SQA) methodologies, tools, and processes.- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.- Knowledge of API testing concepts and tools like Postman or REST Assured is a plus.- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.- Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.
