Responsibilities
- Develop and implement test plans for brakes, suspension, and steering systems.
- Conduct both laboratory and field testing to validate performance, durability, and safety.
- Utilize advanced testing equipment and software to collect and analyse data.
- Analyse test data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for stakeholders if required.
- Work closely with design engineers, product development teams, and suppliers to address issues and improve designs.
- Participate in design reviews, providing expert input on testability and performance.
- Communicate test results and insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive testing, specifically focusing on brakes, suspension, and steering systems.
- Proven track record of conducting successful tests and delivering actionable insights.
- Proficiency in testing methodologies and equipment for brakes, suspension, and steering systems.
- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, MOST, Ethernet).
- Experience with testing tools and frameworks such as CANoe, CANalyzer, or similar.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, or similar will be added advantage.
- Familiarity with CAD software and vehicle dynamics simulation tools will be beneficial but not mandate.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
