About the Role :

As a Senior SAP Technical Consultant at Vistex in Hyderabad, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of robust SAP-centric solutions for our diverse global clientele. With 4-5 years of hands-on experience, you will leverage your strong technical expertise in SAP technologies (primarily ABAP) to customize, enhance, and integrate Vistex solutions within SAP environments. You will work closely with functional consultants and clients to translate complex business requirements into effective technical designs and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

SAP Technical Development :

- Design, develop, test, and implement custom SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF objects) to meet specific business requirements.

- Perform customizations and extensions within existing Vistex IP (Intellectual Property) embedded in SAP, ensuring adherence to Vistex's development standards.

- Write efficient, high-quality, and well-documented ABAP code for complex business scenarios.

Solution Design & Analysis :

- Collaborate with functional consultants and business users to understand detailed business requirements and translate them into clear, comprehensive technical specifications.

- Contribute to the technical design of solutions, evaluating different approaches and recommending optimal solutions considering performance, scalability, and maintainability.

- Participate in technical discussions and provide insights into SAP best practices and potential implications of design choices.

Integration & Interfaces :

- Develop and maintain interfaces between SAP and external systems using various technologies (e.g., RFC, BAPI, IDocs, Web Services, OData).

- Ensure seamless data flow and integration across different SAP modules and third-party applications.

Troubleshooting & Support :

- Analyze and resolve complex technical issues, perform debugging, and provide production support for implemented solutions.

- Identify root causes of technical problems and propose effective long-term solutions.

Performance Optimization :

- Optimize ABAP programs and database queries for performance, ensuring efficient system operation.

- Conduct performance analysis and tuning as required.

Documentation & Quality Assurance :

- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, development standards, and test cases.

- Ensure adherence to Vistex coding standards, quality guidelines, and SAP best practices.

- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to standards, and optimal performance.

Collaboration & Mentorship :

- Work effectively within an agile team environment, collaborating with other developers, functional consultants, and project managers.

- Provide guidance and support to junior team members as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Educational Background :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Professional Experience :

- 4 to 5 years of strong, hands-on experience as an SAP Technical Consultant, primarily in ABAP development.

- Proven experience in designing, developing, and implementing RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms).

- Experience with various ABAP development tools and techniques (e.g., ABAP Workbench, Data Dictionary, ABAP Objects, ALV, Classical/Interactive Reports).

Technical Expertise :

- Strong proficiency in SAP ABAP programming.

- Solid understanding of SAP modules and their integration points (e.g., SD, MM, FI/CO).

- Experience with specific Vistex modules is a significant plus.

- Experience with SAP integration technologies (IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, Web Services).

- Knowledge of performance tuning techniques for ABAP programs and database operations.

- Familiarity with S/4HANA development concepts is a plus.
